Description
A scene without a central focus that works well I think because of the composition which creates a quiet momentum. The angle of the wood beams on the retaining wall are echoed in the position of the arms of the boy and old man, the head and neck of the beast (Sixtus' Uhrag at Daz), and the deck. The upper piling anchors the scene with its shadow bringing the eye around into the goings on which creates the momentum. The piling may not seem to belong but actually forces the action.
Also a composition of red tones and gray. See my composition "Arrangement in gray and red and pink and green" from a few years back.
