Description
This is one of my favorites. The models were modeled in zbrush. I purchased the house on the left many years ago when cornucopia was still around ... But I could not use it anymore, poser or any software wouldn't read the file, so I had to remodel it again. Textures in opentoonz and photoshop, snowflakes, smoke are 2d layers, clouds and the moon in Vue9. Rendered in Vue9 - one single render, no postwork.

This is so gorgeous, my friend. It has the look and feel of one of those vintage Christmas cards - reminds me of the days when a certain card company here in Kansas City cared more about art and beauty than about profit margins. I love this.
Yeah, it's a shame Cornucopia went away.. I was just starting to learn my way around with Vue 10.. Now they've followed Adobe's lead and are subscription only. And all the stuff I was planning on getting from Cornucopia..Such a bummer..

What I love most in this kind of snow-kissed images is the excitement of a childhood spent sleighing, skiing, waiting for Christmas. I live now on the beach and summer is where winter used to me. The blue exchanged for the orange. But the promise never goes away. Your work captures this beautifully. Thank you.
