Description

....Sigh.... I TOLD you guys not to try deep-frying a 16-pound frozen turkey in the garage.... Guess I'll have to hose things down. Again. I thought you'd learned your lesson after you blew up the microwave last year with the turkey wrapped in foil.. I know you didn't get that from Rachel Ray or Emeril Lagasse... Looks like it's Col. Sanders for you guys again this year... I hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving with friends and family. Things here are pretty busy this week, so my commenting and posting may be a bit spotty this week. We're heading out to my youngest niece's for Thanksgiving with family Thursday. So I just want to wish you all a great week and holiday however you celebrate. The fire truck is a 3ds file I've had for years - from Archive3d.net, I believe. I used Bagginsbill's car shader for its surface. The nozzle was put together with Poser primitives. The most difficult part was the hose, actually. I used the mixer brush in Photoshop to create it, and it must have taken a dozen or more tries to get it looking halfway decent. Thanks so much for dropping by, and for all your awesome comments and support! You - and your inspiring art - are a big part of the reason I've been here for 10 years. You all really do rock! P.S. This image is 16 X 9, so you're welcome to use it for wallpaper if you wish. Rod's Lair (my website) Facebook Twitter Girls From T.N.A. Website Girls From T.N.A. Darn you guys should have caught the Food Network's live Thanksgiving show of the Kitchen (okay, I only watch to drool over Katie Lee, but that doesn't mean I don't pay attention every once in a while), they went over the safety tips for frying a Turkey, which I obviously NOT something to do in an apartment complex like mine, since they went all the way to a fire house in New Jersey to do it! Best wishes to you and yours for a safe (no fried Turkey fireballs implied) and happy (if your family is like mine that means when you've put in your required time and can stop at KFC for a bird that's not as dry as the Sahara desert) Thanksgiving!

Had you not mentioned it, I would have thought the hose an organic prop of the truck. Remarkable.

Happy Thanksgiving back to you, Rod !! :-)

An excellent and well created scene ! The hose is rather very well done ! In full size, we can see that the rubber texture is pretty well rendered !...

Super job on this fun scene, Rod..love your little gal and her impish expression...Yup, lots of ignorant folks out there...those who would deep fry a frozen turkey in their garage are likely the same ones who would run a generator in their garage or basement...natural selection at work...

What a hot image Rod. Love her firemans red tight outfit. She holds that house very well. Never deep fried a turkey yet. I cook in oven only. And some do and will need fire service when they screw up. I hope you and Jo have a grand Thanksgiving day my friend. I get to work!

Morning shift 330 am till done, about 9 or 10 am.

LOL! I'm screaming on the floor here!!!! The first thing I thought when I saw this image was, 'that is one huge baster!' Well, what can I say. My mind does wander at times. A most delightful and wonderfully fun image! Very well imagined and delivered! Hope you and yours have a wonderful and Happy Thanksgiving!

It's a great looking hose, Rod! Very natural looking. Fun 'story' and you mind her now! You and Jo drive safe and enjoy your dinner with your family. Have a great time and hope it's all yummy 😋

Thanks, Ray! I shall endeavor to give everything on the table a thorough taste-test. Very thorough. Probably why we get invited only once a year... 🤣

Cooking can be dangerous. She's a fantastic thing to come and save the day, though... good work, especially on that hose.

I'm trying to imagine the thought process of not only putting a turkey in the microwave, but wrapping it in foil first. I think I'll take up that KFC offer.

Ha, an oops moment that might be worth it if the Fire Brigade really looked like that. Nice posing and the hose looks like it's properly a part of the scene, not post-work! Well done.
