Scotty, Lydia and Turell are backstage debating what to do about the show they have been working on. A lot of work has gone into the show, as silly as it is. The dress rehearsal ran reasonably well before the scene with the guns. So why not run the show at least once. But with Paulette under house arrest waiting for her court hearing, they are short one showgirl.There is no way to do the show without two showgirls. It is central to the plot.
