Description

Le château de Brissac se trouve à Brissac Loire Aubance, dans le département de Maine-et-Loire, à quinze kilomètres d'Angers. Depuis le début du XVIe siècle, il est la propriété et la résidence des ducs de Brissac. Il est classé au titre des monuments historiques depuis le 3 novembre 1958 et 8 novembre 1966 Brissac Castle is located in Brissac Loire Aubance, in the department of Maine-et-Loire, fifteen kilometres from Angers. Since the beginning of the 16th century, it has been the property and residence of the Dukes of Brissac. It has been classified as a historic monument since 3 November 1958 and 8 November 1966.

surprised it's been in the family that long what with the revolution and all, in the UK there was no such successful uprising so a fair portion of land is still owned by the families who came over with Duke William
