Description
This took over 24 hours to render because of the four figures, hair and theater. I hid everything not in the scene, but still took forever to render the noise out of the image.

Thank you!!

such beautiful lighting, and i think it lends itself to the mood/idea of envy quite well - where the way we see what we envy in a mildly glow-y/slightly distorted & elevated fashion because of our own desires [hope i'm making sense]...

I wasn't even thinking about that, but yeah, you said it in a great way. Thanks for seeing things I missed. Fantastic insight!!

It's beautiful and eerie at the same time. I think the best artwork always provokes more than one simultaneous feeling. I'll have to ask some dancers I know what they think of this, should I see them over the holidays.

Thank you for the comment. My daughter has been in ballet for years and years so I see a little and hear what goes on behind the scenes. I would like to hear what your dancer friends think.

The Chinese say "One picture is worth a thousand words". Enough said!!! Technically about the render time I will say that when light levels are low, as in several parts of the image, it does really add to the overall render time. In this case, well worth it!!!

Yeah, tell me about it. I realized that this would take a long time to render, but I didn't want to flood the scene with light. Just rendered over a few nights. Thanks for the comment.
