Description

Just for giggles, here's the full photo of the bridge I used as a background in the Hunter poster.. The original is about 6000 pixels at 4800 DPI - as scanned from 35mm film. Just thought you might like to see the original... 😉 Rod's Blog Rod's Lair (my website) Facebook Twitter Girls From T.N.A. Website Girls From T.N.A. Twitter Page DA My Behance Portfolio Art Station

Wonder how many thousands and thousands of that bridge design got built in the early days of car transportation. Nice photo, Rod.

It's a great old bridge. There's something about that kind of industrial grunge that I really enjoy.

As an old machinist, I love engineering. And anything old and architectural. Nice shot. Thanks, Rod! I walked the Golden Gate bridge at 15 just to admire the build. :)

I've got my eye on another old abandoned railway bridge to photograph.. I can't physically get to it, Buuuut... I have a couple flying cameras that can! 😁

Excellent shot.

Though not essential, it is useful for time travelers to use an artifact which exists now and at the point in time which they hope to reach. It makes the transferal more reliable. Though, an abandoned railway bridge is a little risky given its former use.

I"m skipping, Rod, but I'll get to the previous piece soon, as well as the piece after (I only have a few more to go, to catch up)...but I wanted to comment on this since it's always a treat when you post photos. I love the bleached light here, and the feel of abandonment...it looks like it had a purpose (maybe still does), but like it's rarely traversed anymore. That's how the light makes it feel. And the intense geometry is offset by that flat sky and that flat landscape. Has real mood, airiness, emptiness, and bright bleached light. Plus the 'tunnel' here seems to lead to nothing: The end of this path looks like it's grasses and trees. A real bleached-day empty feeling...lazy...abandoned...peaceful. I really like this photo!

I'm not sure if it's deja vu or what, but this place looks very familiar. Or it might just be a background from a movie that I saw once. What a great photography, Big Bro. You're quite multi-talented and thank you for sharing your work with us.
