Description
It is another Christmas at our door and another year that is coming to an end. It's another rotten year for me! A year to forget, a year where I wished it had never happened, a year to tear out of the calendar, a year I wanted to rewind and do certain things differently to change the outcome of events. All the good things in the beginning were eaten up by the dark and painful last three months. All the sunlight, all the hope and confidence was blown away by the dark and threatening clouds, by the cyclone that tore everything apart and carried away everything that was so dear to me. The puzzle of my life, which promised to show a beautiful picture of the loving Creator, now has many dark and strangely shaped pieces that don't fit anywhere and it seems to show rather a picture of horror in a tormented dungeon. What happened? Why did it happen? Why could it not be avoided? Questions that come up and ask for an answer, but are never satisfied, never answered. There is another Christmas coming up even if it doesn't feel like Christmas to me, not at all!
I wish you happy holidays and a happy new year - a happier one, than my last one was.

"A beautiful picture of the loving Creator." Suffering and life are just God's tools bring us to the point of not only humbling ourselves to God more, but also our dependence of Him every day. One thing I praise God he never promised us was good days but He did promise us that He has overcome the world. (John 16:33). Every day is a good day because God's plan and hand is in it, all we have to do..is endure until the end. Very powerful. May God bless you greatly today!

A stunning scene. I am sorry to hear about your year. Expressing yourself in a meaningful and creative way, like you've done here, and sharing your pain, is the best way to heal and move forward. And you have us! Congratulations on a great and spiritual work.

This is a very beautiful and moving image that truly reflects your sadness and loss, my friend! The dark days seem to come around more often the more years you leave behind.. Been there myself more than I care to remember. And yet, there is always that distant sunrise on the horizon that whispers 'hope remains. There will always be darkness, but there will always be light as well.'
I hope the new year is a better one for you, mate. And for all of us.

This is a great composition, Alexander. The blue hues accented by the red colors of the candles. The scene tugs to the heartstrings, and I can feel the emotion you placed in this image. Just want you to know that you are not alone. I feel like posting something that's merry and bright but what's inside is so difficult to hide. I agree, it's a rotten year.

Cool work.

things happen that reflect on our life, and not enjoyable for sure. I have been lucky that numerous tornadoes that torn up 100's of homes and businesses never did any damage to my home
superb render and pose showing desperation
