Description
Because of my accident, my dedis will be less long w/ reworkings of older art (sorry!) This is from an old leaf painting, which I turned into a snow globe/cosmic sphere for dear Carol.
For Carol (romanceworks).
Carol and I have this thing where I delve into her art, and she comes back with great explanations of what moves her, her feelings and techniques; and I've often told people "if you think Carol paints flowers and animals (among other things), oh, look closer!" She paints those things, but there's so much passion packed in there, so much 'music' and pulsing and oceanic power, it's like she's gone into the inner atoms of her subjects. She's a powerhouse of an artist to me, and whenever I get to her gallery, I'm transported once again into her huge world. I love her strokes, her visceral brushwork, her backgrounds, her turning surfaces into whole inner-topographies, and her huge heart, and I'm privileged to be her friend, and while I'm pretty sure she's not a big fan of birthdays, she'll have to deal with this 'cause I couldn't let today pass without a shoutout, hugs, and lots of gratitude.
Happy Birthday Carol, and I hope that all your pro and personal work is bursting and giving the sun a run for its money. Great holidays to you too---up there on that great mountain you live on---and many more birthdays to come, with blessings, joy and tons of light and peace! mark

You think of everybody Mark, you are thoughtful, kind generous and a terrific person. Awesome manipulation on this work. Can still make out the leaf. Happy Holidays.

What Steve said..... He's nailed it. And so do you - every time!
I really love this, Mark. It's almost like we're looking into some mystical crystal ball and seeing this leaf reminding us that the cycle of life continues, and new leaves - and life - will return.
I'll have to check out Carol's work... I must have missed her somewhere along the journey.
Hope healing finds you, and brings you full relief, buddy! May you have a wonderful Holiday season!

Mark, thanks so much for your lovely birthday dedi and for this beautiful artwork. It is vibrant and cosmic and very alive. It burns with passion, hot and cold. Through the years of our friendship here on R'osity you have always inspired me, because of who you are and what you give to the world, and to me. I've never known anyone like you and am so very grateful we've met and shared so much. I love this image because it is like a leaf or flower within a Universe, and shows the power of nature and its infinite ability to touch us. Even a single leaf or blossom can inspire us, heal us, and make our world better. Much like a single person can change our world. You've changed my world with your vision and knowledge and generous, loving spirit and always inspire me. You make me feel good, and alive, and kind of cosmic. And creative. And for an artist, inspiration is what gives life to their work. Thank you for all the years of birthdays and beauty and of being my friend,Mark. And though I'm not a big fan of birthdays, here's to many more for both of us.

An out of this world ephemerally nice birthday presentation for your talented friend, Carol. Incidentally, Renderosity has allowed me to join the spate of other commenters vis a vis your splendid postings. All I had to do was reenter my user name and password, and voila, I'm back in their good graces.

This really could be a crystal ball foretelling the wonderful things to come for Carol. The leaf is so cool as it sits front and center while colors swirl behind and around it. Nice work, Mark!
