thanx vhautala you speak my words....and if we are in the mood to say bad things we should also have a word about poser: it's okay to import things, it's okay to use foreign, premade textures and models.....but: it should not be the whole work...let us definde 3 rules: 1. at least 90% of all polygons should be created in C4D by the artist who posts the picture. 2. if there is a person-model inside the scene it's allowed to take it from poser, but not if the model is the eyecatcher of the picture. so: in the background its allowed, but not in the front. 3. everybody who imports a poser model into C4D should at least once have modelled a hand, an ass and a pair of nice tits (bc thats most of their interest) and a face. don't understand me wrong, i have nothing agains poser, probably its a good prog.. but here, its C4D. 4. all who say: the rendering is also important and the render engine is sooo good in C4D blabla shall be blind for 40 days. after that they probably realize, that their pictures would not get any visitors in the poser gallery, bc there some guys really show us how to put girls in scene ( i actually think thats what its all about in poser: making nice poses and animations). 5. i hope somebody else thinks the same like me.

I'm not going to go with these jerks. I'm going to say, great job for your first try. Looks great. I'm sure we will see some excellent things coming from you in the future. Again, great first try!

Vhautala, I do agree that anyone can post a HDRI ball, it dosent take much skill to do one, funny that your first CD4 post is also a HDRI ball. I guess we all start somewhere.

My first pic isn't actually a HDRI pic. Yes - there is a ball but no high dynamic range images acting as light sources. Just simple tubes with a luminous material to study my radiosity skills. Didn't mean to piss you off - its just that you see just too many of those hdri-tests - so why not take it a step forward and put up a bit more complex scene. After all - this is a gallery. But as I said - don't mean to piss of anyone - just giving some constructing critics..

hi toggi ..i agree with you. Nudity: aka Tits and asses! In germany we often make jokes about this american galeries and nudity. In germany(europe) it is allowed to swim naked at the sea or lying at the beach. Naked is not so interesting here and nearly no one make notice at this beaches where only nudes swimming. So we noticed that in renderosity.com you allways can get points and good comments by rendering nude girls. We say "You will win the contest, make a nude girl in your picture". But the other Porblems we have too in german galeries like renderosity.de :-) Picture where the eyecatcher is an "stolen" object. A few months ago we have big fights at our comunity about this Problem wich i ignite with words like yours. But it is nice to found someone here with the same probs. rollinger PS:Sorry for my bad english, i hope you understand everything PPS: when i use "nude" or "naked"?

Crap, who cares that this guy is posting a ball rendered in a HDRI sphere. You should have seen my first works, they where much much worse than this! And now I can say, after 2 years, that I am good. Yes I am bragging, you know why? Because I worked for it. And thanks to all the kindness of the members of renderosity I am what I am today. Without their help and devotion I would be nowhere, absolutely nowhere. Thanks to renderosity I am getting myself a job and an education. Thanks to renderosity I feel like I am actually doing something I like and other people like. And all I like to say to toolman 5. Don't let anyone scare you off. Keep on rendering balls in HDRI environments, and after a while you will start to improve your techniques, you'll start liking the learning bit and slowly, after much devotion, you can become anything you want. I posted crap too, a lot of it. But I didn't care, after a while I only listened to the happy comments of people who liked what I did and that makes me the happiest man in the world. Just keep on doing what you like and only listen to the friendly comments, don't let this put you of. Everybodys first render isn't the best there is, so what? Look at one of the greatest pinup artist stevenstahlberg for instance, his first art wasn't the best, but look at him now. Keep on rendering man, you have my support. p.s.: Nice ball!
