To me, fairy of the book intones the tradition of reading a book and leaving it for someone else, in the hope they'll do the same...and applying that to everything (ie, we own nothing, we just pass it along so others can benefit from it as well). I have no idea if that's what you had in mind, but it does describe Dave and all he gives here. In any case, this is a loving mysterious image, with your fairy crawling low, with beautiful purple wings, while communing with a lone frog. The tent and the moon suggest a private moment, and it seems filled with meeting and quiet wonder. All those feelings fit Dave, who is one of the magic souls on RR, and who's return has touched a lot of people. You've made a quiet, intimate hug for dave, and it's like you came out at night to tell him, "welcome back friend". So I'll add "welcome back, Dave! You're welcome whenever and however, anytime, anyplace." A beautiful quiet homage to a wonderful person.
