nice balance and composition, I'd be tempted to leech the colours somewhat and increase the strength of the outlines in a kind of cartoon effect

Zoom's a must. You transformed a blurred shot into a graphic design. Love the flattened reds, and the "cauliflower" shapes, and your edge work on the leaves...You've flattened a number of hues, so this almost looks like a series of cutouts. A real graphic piece, Richard, fine work resuscitating an old blurred photo...shows us why discarded photos can be very useful. A striking design piece.
