Well framed picture.... but I still sing the old number " Hit the road Jack"

What a great perspective shot, Richard! I've always loved photos like this.. Problem is around here, you don't want to be seen on the tracks or you'll likely be arrested. They've gotten pretty strict since 9-11 - at least around the city..
My eye also goes to the line of telephone poles with what looks like glass insulators on the lower crossarm.. LOL

this was at a one horse community in Nevada

again I refer to Rod's comment: I've been stopped a few times by plain-clothed police and even FBI, when photographing train tracks. They showed me their badge, were very kind, but told me that, for security purposes, they have to check anyone suspiciously taking pictures...
I love the deep low pov here, and the slight tilt of the shot, and how the rolling hills back there frame the tracks. A beautiful shot of something that isn't often associated with beauty. It feels cold and quiet too...one of the sweetest shots of tracks I've seen in a while...

I was questioned for taking pictures of the local subway Dart train close to downtown. I told the officer that I like train pictures. he said it is okay, but they must ask whoever they see taking pictures of the light rail dart trains
