Description

These are wireframes from my post "XXLSat" two days ago, several had requested to see them. I recall how much i had enjoyed the occasional wireframe, you get completely different information from the finished render. -*- As you can see, it's largely the "multi-replicate" tool with 6-fold and/or 12-fold symmetry. I only modeled 1/6 of the truss, one tank, etc. The modeling took about 2 hrs and so did the rendering, so not too bad at all. The solar panels are the "smoked glass" material, but set the color to blue-ish. [OK Bambam131, you can make me feel ver-r-r-ry small now!!]. -*- Thanks for viewing, and comments!

I love this, very well done my friend! Excellent attention to detail also; the model is very well organized and align. I really like the way you use the Boolean objects in this model and only have admiration for your modeling skills! I am looking forward to what your imagination brings out in your next project.. Bambam ;-)

your right there; the wire frame puts a whole new perspective on it. so thats what the multi replication tool does! DANG! I'm one ignorant puppy. I've been building each identical piece, in some renders. My eyes have opened! Oh boy, oh joy, another new toy!

Both you and Bambam seems to have a secret Wireframe Cleaner application (or something similar...) :) This is great modeling work, and its nice to see how it was built! Great work, as usual! :)

I especially like the "top" view. I'd love to see that view rendered as the wireframe almost looks like a kaleidoscope. Beautiful!
