This is so adorable...I keep thinking about all the animals who perished in these fires...they estimate as many as 1 billion have lost their lives...and it will likely only get worse...heartbreaking doesn't adequately describe my emotions...

These many poor animal souls don't leave me alone either, I constantly have to think about them and what they had to go through until their deaths, you can't put that into words! 😱😢😔

I've been watching the vids of what's happening in Australia - it breaks my heart for these beautiful creatures. I just heard the Australian government is now air dropping food to the animals.

A most endearing composition about these peaceful and slow-moving animals that are currently dying by the thousands in Australia, alas.... A superb dedi to them . 🐨

An adorable koala, with a great frontal expression, and your background is cozy and protective (a protection we'd hope they have, as the fires are destroying so many of them), and you've framed this with flowers in two corners, more flowers on branches in another, and stalks in the last corner. And the koala's ears flow with the lines of the piece. I have to remember you're compiling these, as you always coordinate everything so it looks like it's one scene from start to finish. Love the little growths all over, and the mushrooms, and the purple flowers, etc. Very sweet work.

Re the theme...our present leader (sic) not only denies climate change, he's working against any efforts to change it. Man, what a disaster. (And the leaders of Australia haven't exactly been gangbusters either.) I hope this will go away for good, and these beautiful creatures can rejuvenate their numbers once more. Fine dedi, Barb.

(Oh---and I read, in one of your comments, that you're still struggling with your teeth: I hope they finally get better for you, Barb. Tooth-related pain can be so intrusive. Much healing your way!)
