My previous series illustrated landing on the moon and return to orbit of the Russian 1960s secret manned lunar program. This new series depicts the arrival of the spacecraft at the moon . The spacecraft stack, consisting of the Blok D booster stage, the LOK/Blok D adapter, the Soyuz 7K-LOK lunar orbiter, and the LK lander, hidden within the adapter, enters lunar orbit. The two cosmonauts are aboard the LOK. The depiction has some inaccuracies; the far side of the moon, where lunar orbit insertion would have taken place, would likely have been in darkness so the landing site on the near side would be sun-lit. The LOK is the Soyuz 7K and the Blok D/Adapter are in or soon to be in Renderosity Free Stuff. The booster flame is one of Jepe's FlameZ from DAZ. The moon is a NASA photo.
