Description
Dramatic Headshot with Gobo - Another in my session using Reagan G8F. One light source with a gobo. Because the light is relatively small, the light is hard and harsh. This adds to the drama in a portrait.
I'm starting to enjoy doing portraits in DAZ about as much as I did when I was operating my studio. While I miss the interaction, I can create some awesome lighting situations that would have taken hours and lots of equipment. (Well, not in this case because it is one light and a gobo.)
What would it have taken to do this in real life?
1 10x20 foot back drop ($200)
3 10' light stands (about $80 each)
1 10' cross bar (about $50)
1 800WS mono light with a small parabolic reflector ($300)
1 6' lightstand (about $60)
1 gobo arm (about $40)
1 gobo (about $3 because I would make it myself out of foam core)
Total real life expense: $813
$800 buys a LOT of digital assets in DAZ.
