Description
Sorel greets the morning and contemplates the coming day's activities as she savors her first cup of coffee.
I've always wanted to redo what has turned out to be my most popular image that I did in 2015 (both here and at DAZ). Of course, the danger in that is that the second version won't be as popular as the first. TBH, I don't think this will be nearly as popular, simply because so many artists are now extremely good with Iray. I finally decided to just go ahead and do it just for my own satisfaction, as there were several little things that I wanted to improve on. I think I finally met my own expectations with the scene/image, I hope everyone enjoys this revised image.
The scene lighting with an HDRI (seen in the background), several mesh lights (the ceiling lights in the model converted to emitters, one plane primitive near the ceiling directly above the figure, and one plane primitive placed where it "intensifies" the light coming from the the HDRI sun) and two spot lights for rim lights. The figure is a highly morphed version of Sahel from DAZ (she was just too "skinny" :) (Smile)) with some skin tweaks as well. I also modified the shader settings for her cloths to make the colors match better, and to tone the brightness down a bit. I did some minor post work (levels and unsharp mask), but the image is quite close to what the original looked like.
The biggest change in lighting from the original was the addition of a second spot light to provide the rim lighting on the front of her legs. I also changed the mesh and spot light temperature (color) to be closer to morning sun light, and made minor brightness value changes. The original image had a Genesis 2 figure, which I replaced with a genesis 8 figure. I also did not start with a purchased pose for this image, I did the pose myself (this often works much better than fixing all the issues with a canned pose).
This version was set up in DS 4.12.x beta I used Iray to render it. As usual, please zoom to full resolution to see all the fine details.
Thanks for stopping by!
Edit: Duh! I should have added a link to the original .... so here it is: https://www.renderosity.com/mod/gallery/morning-coffee/2642968/?p&ca

really like the lighting on this and the way it pushes the figure into 3D and the soft focus on the rest flattens the 3D effect for extra contrast
