Description

My previous series illustrated landing on the moon and return to orbit of the Russian 1960s secret manned lunar program. This new series depicts the arrival of the spacecraft at the moon. The cosmonaut ,now in the LK cabin with its hatch sealed, the adapter separates from the Blok D and the LOK, its two halves jettisoned and propelled away from the two spacecraft. The LOK is now free-flying but the LK is still attached to the Blok D stage, ready for the next phase of landing. The lander is my LK figure and the Soyuz 7K-LOK and the Blok D/Adapter are (or shortly will be) from Renderosity Free Stuff. The thruster flames are from Jepe's FlameZ. The cosmonaut, just visible through the LK landing window, is M4, wearing a modified version of the DAZ M3 Spacesuit. The star background is from DAZ's Easy Environments: Earth. The Earth is from a NASA photo. The scene was composed and rendered in Poser 11 and composited in Corel Photo Paint.

But the "LK" with "block D" was simply rolled out of the cylindrical shroud along the rails, after which the shroud was thrown from the "LOK" with the help of springed pushers. there was no division into sashes

Thanks, Denny. Had I known that I'd have built the shroud correctly.
