Description

…To be a Rebel! Here we have Acacia, and Alyssa from our Nashville Office extolling the virtues of their favorite – and often maligned – font. Actually, I’m not sure anyone is going to really notice the font… The Girls wanted me to let you know you can get a shirt like this and be a Rebel, too (they whisper in your ear, “on Rod’s Pixels site”). As I understand it, Comic Sans was originally intended for use in – well, comics! The problem seemed to be that it was being used for everything else as well and ended up being over-used – and consequently being avoided like the plague by most graphic designers. It seems like lately it’s being looked on a little kindlier as long as it’s used for its intended purpose. I’m currently using it for speech bubbles in the G4 story. Speaking of the G4 story… Thanks so much for all the wonderful comments and support! I’m thrilled you’re enjoying it – and Page 2 will be up very soon. There will be some surprising turns in Chapter 7 that will tie in with this story, so stay tuned. Thanks for stopping by and for all your awesome support and friendship! If this font is the one of the most over-used it's because it's a very nice font to use in comics-like images. I've often used it when I've had to do a text with an image...I like this font...And your girls are excellent ambassadress for this font !...A brilliant idea and an unusual and very creative work, Rod !

I suppose it's not as bad as Arial, which is a cheap knockoff of Helvetica.

I've honestly never thought about fonts before, As a dyslexic, all words are pictures to me (That is how I learned to make sense of what I read) so if they look like the word I think they are it is going well. I never realized that people put so much thought into which ones to use. I am glad the girls are making a point about their fonts. Very Imaginative.
