This portrait is highly realistic and technically impressive, but it is visually somewhat simple, having only a deadpan angle, a monochrome background, and no expression whatsoever. It seems like this is intended as a character design, in which case this is all fine, but even in that case, I think his haircut is interesting enough to want to show the top of it as well.
