Description

On the observant advice of M3G i've redone this with more ripples, higher AA,and the transparency has held, and oh my gawd...it rendered 1/2 hour faster...go figger Well I'm early again..must be my protestant work ethic upbringing,or lack of 'real' life..lol Made the scape with magnetism,a current fave modelling method for em,with a bunch o subgroups and many .itx's,the weeds/grass are 3 iob's dispersed over the terrain using A. Chouls fantastic utility...popcorn.exe...they are made with maps of irregular fanshapes in white on black and used as stencil maps on 2 poly planes.Added a bit of stretched in the Z fracbump.itx for texture, saved all 3 to a dir and popped em on the terrain. The trout is an iob(originally a 3DS object) i had converted for a 'mounted fish' certificate i made as a joke for an unlucky fisherfriend, but was dl'ed from toucan.co.jp rite here i think is where i found it,thru a link as it doesn't appear on the popups below.Sorry for not makin it myself but was preoccupied with making the water work ,and sorta succeeded. The bush was made with Manuel's lovely Tuby.exe, and the leaves are iob particles, and this time the log stickin up is an actual .iob instead of a pic object,it has statue.itx,dirt.itx,mtntop.itx,and maybe wrinkle.itx for texture. Comments always welcome, and Thanx for taking the time to view.

Excellent work! The water looks great except maybe the ripples could be a little smaller and more numerous.

M3G...i agree...was testing out filter distance tho and found i couldn't tell reflections from transparency when there were many ripples...will do another with 'em and post it too...lol

By the way, what's the trout doing with its head out of the water?Breathing? :) Good picture, especially the revised water. The grass and the ground texture is also cool.

That is a really nice picture: the objects look quite natural, and the composition is superb. The ripples on the pond look real, rather than a texture- excellent work on the Filter/Reflect.

thanx kev and MarabuFX...i do love landscapes...so peaceful after all my years of blowing things up in space...lol...not a dig kev,i have done a tone of space explosions m'self, but find myself a bit more "grounded" in landscape makin(pun intended),and more so that I can do it from RIGHT IN IMAGINE,no outside program help aside from Tuby.exe, which as far as I'm concerned should/could be integrated into Imagina, which really goes for ALL Manuel's utilities.
