It is a take off of the title of an album from the 70s by Dan Fogelberg and Tim Weisberg called Twin Sons of Different Mothers. The cover shows a picture of the two of them each with long hair parted in the middle and mustaches and beards, and they do look similar. So it is kind of an inside joke. It is in a literal sense, not possible, but I think they were really referring to a brotherhood not based genetics. Anyway, it gets one thinking, which I think is the point.
