Description
This might be a good thing for Parker. Up to this point Parker really doesn't have that many friends who would be at any level of trustworthiness or respectability for that matter but here we find Parker meets with my darling niece Kristin aat the fast food joint for what turns out to be a great and heartfelt conversation.
Parker: Finally someone I can talk to who I at least have an idea understands where I'm coming from.
Kristin: Well we're kinda in the same boat but for what it's worth I'm glad to have this opportunity to help.
Parker: I'm trying to mature but it doesn't help when everyone's always tryin' to cut me down to size. Know what I mean?
Kristin: Yup. Absolutely know cos I've been through enough of it myself but I've come to find that if I don't fight it so much it's that much less of a battle. How old are you now?
Parker: Seventeen.
Kristin: I'm seventeen too. I'll be eighteen this August.
Parker: I'll turn eighteen this October.
Kristin: Well for what it's worth don't be in a hurry to go runnin' outta the house once you turn eighteen. Crazy world out there and there's good chance we could get hurt if we dove right into the real and intependent lifestyle before we were ready.
Parker: Y'know, you're right. I've heard some pretty scary things in the news about that happening to people who weren't prepared. On the other side of the coin I just want my mother to be proud of me at some point. I just don't wanna end up being somebody's baby for the rest of my life.
Kristin: I hear ya. But you just keep hangin' in there with your mom, love her with all you heart and you might find life is not so hard.
Parker. Thanks, Kristin That sounds good. It's so easy talking to you.
Kristin: I'm glad to help and I do it purely out of love for people in my life whom are close to me and I welcome you into my life as a friend if you feel you need a good friend.
Parker: Thanks, Kristin. I wanna cry, you really help eased my heartache and settle my spirit, even if for a little bit at first. You're a great friend.
Kristin: You are certainly welcome and you can talk to me anytime and who knows there may come a time or two when I might need someone to talk to.
Parker: And you know I will be right there for you. This has been a great lunch and conversation.
Kristin: It's my pleasure to share this opportunity to chat with you and I'm so glad you've opened up to express yourself. I think we all need that from time to time, no matter the age.
Parker: We definitely do. It's therapeutic, so to speak.
Kristin: Indeed it is. Hey you wanna do something fun? Have you been to the old abandoned mansion out on Riverdale? Spooky old place but fun to go in & explore.
Parker: I'd be up for the challenge and if we run into any spooks that would make it even more fun cos not much scares me.
Kristin: Let's do that sometime soon.
Parker: You're on, sister!
