Description

Azrael is the angel of death in the Islamic tradition and is one of the four great angels in Islam. An angel of death is explicitly mentioned in the Koran, who is identified as Azrael in Islamic tradition. However, many aspects of his legend are not supported by official doctrines, but by popular beliefs. Azrael separates people's souls from the body and thus brings death. He does not act independently, but on behalf of Allah. It is also said that the angel Azrael wrote down the names of the newborns and crossed out those of the deceased. Great looking character, Michael...his wings are enviable :) Really enjoy all the various mythological religious characters humans have invented through the ages.
