Description

dForce chains - it has been something that I have wanted to use for a long time...but there was (past tense) no way to use any inside DS because there were NONE that filled that niche properly. So I just went ahead and created my own system to simulate dForce chains for Daz Studio using cloth dynamics it that allows solid, rigid links to collide, drape, wrap, fit, drop, hang over other solid objects like Genesis figures, props, furniture, environments, primitives...pretty much anything. --- This poster is a small test render using some of my original assets and licensed ones along with 2 individual 50-link chain props, to test the two chains' collisions on an idle baseball bat prop parented to the Genesis 8 Female model's right hand. It's a raw dForce simulation output and I purposefully haven't fine tuned all the small issues like the clipping on a few chain links that you can see here if you zoom into the image. This was done in order to show an authentic work-in-progress image that is created by the new system alone without any additional work. These two chains are manually coiled using a complex hand crafted skeleton system for the chains and after simulating they hang off the tilted baseball bat based as they droop down based on a friction preset. The same type of 50-link base chains have also been morphed into 2 different shapes using shaping sliders / presets and they also have 2 different metallic materials layered onto a smooth mesh...2 out of a potential 10+ distinct materials that I am working on for this product. And what I want to do with this is: turn this into a merchant resource and release it for everyone to use. What this product will At Least have at release (if not surpass in number) will be: 8+ core morphing shapes which can be combined with each other to create different types of chain-links; 10-link, 50-link and 100-link chains that can be cut down to fit various needs that the user has; 10+ seamless 4k UHD resolution materials to mix and match with the various shapes and many different dForce simulation presets to fit the user's various needs. And since it will be a Merchant Resource...any artist working with Daz Studio will be able to use these links in their own, original assets and release their original created products for others to purchase without having to break their heads over how to create dynamic dForce chains for simulation purposes inside Daz Studio. Yours truly has already broken this head in order to save you all the trouble ;) Or for the average artist who just uses DS for their own personal hobbies, you all can stick any number of these chain presets that your systems can handle onto anything and everything that you have in your library and render away till the cows come home! So when this chain pack is ready, I can see myself creating some war time flail and morning star type chained weapons with heads that can swing / moving /hang / collide all dynamically...I will also use these in a magical floating prison cell type scene (inspired by some good old Planescape:Torment runs)...scale the chains down to create some accessories for both Genesis Females (delicate earrings) and Males(thick cuban chains) to use and yes...I might probably design some very haute and slinky outfits for Genesis Females (G8F / G3F or maybe even G2F) ranging from chain bikinis to something even lesser in coverage for all 3D usage purposes. --- I took some time off to deal with some health issues, but now that I am back I want to hit a few balls out of the ballpark this February 2020. More testing previews will follow along with more reveals of other projects that I have been working on and slated for release soon. --- This 3D render was created in DS Pro 4.12 and no post processing has been performed. Everything seen here is a purely 3D creation of artistic work with no relation to any real living, dead or undead beings. This is not stock art and can not be used anywhere else without my explicit consent and permission. --- Products used in this render: Genesis 8 Female Model Used: Custom Genesis 8 Female dForce Leather Jacket + Leather Thong:dForce Wildcat Biker Bikini for Genesis 8 Females dForce Corset + Stockings: dForce Boudoir Noir for Genesis 8 Females Hair: Nick Hair for Genesis 3 and 8 FREE Assets used here: GWRETCHED Baseball Bat SWT Dirty Skin (Version A) for Genesis 8 Females SWT Dirty Skin (Version B) for Genesis 8 Females
