Description
While Sagittarius has been an archer for numerous civilisations, the form and stories differ greatly. The Babylonians saw the god Nergal, a strange centaur-like being with wings, two heads (one panther and one human), as well as a scorpion's stinger in addition to a tail... all in all something of a chimaera! The Greeks saw either the satyr Crotus (who they claim invented archery) or the centaur Chiron,who tutored Achilles in the art. There is actually a second centaur in the sky (the constellation Centaurus) so maybe both are up there!
Sagittarius is a fire sign ruled by Jupiter, and also associated with tin, topaz and turquoise.

Beautifully done. I used to put actual constellations in my paintings, that extra meanings in them, but no one ever asked what that might be. This is such a strong series you are creating. And I learn something with every one, in your text. Thank you for all of it.
