Oh, yes...the (in)famous Nimon from "The Horns of Nimon". Normally, I'm resistant to veering from the source material, but the original costume was such an embarrassment that almost any change would have been an improvement! On the other hand, we got to see Lalla Ward in one of her most dapper ensembles, one inspired by a fox hunting collection. We also got to see her version of a sonic screwdriver. Apparently the Doctor was (secretly) impressed enough that he tried to stash it in his pocket.

Had it not been for a strike, audiences would have been treated to one more serial that year, a 6 part story titled "Shada". As it was, this adventure wrapped up the 17th series (season to us bloody Yanks) on a kind of lackluster note.

Finally the rider outfit was on sale that looked close to Layla's excellent outfit and yes the nimon looked like crap and the whole production was like a high school play!
