Description

US Navy Douglas TBD Devastator torpedo bombers positioning on the deck of the USS Enterprise before takeoff.. I decided to try this type of scene again to see if I could capture a bit of the energy and personnel on the deck during takeoff in WW 2. Besides, AliceFromLake's Devastator is such a cool model! USS Enterprise model by Max Romash with a bit of texture adjustments TBD Devastator: Very nice model by AliceFromLake with some texture mods as well. F4F Wildcats by Neil Wilson (tip o' the hat to you Neil!, thanks for all the good stuff!) with some texture adjustments. Genesis3 male figure in many permutations with gear cobbled from every quartermaster within reach. C4d, PoserPro, and Daz to set up the models; composed, lighting, some texture adjustments, and rendered in Daz Studio; minor finishing in Ps Cs3 Wheel chocks from the old tool shed.

A carrier deck has been described as potentially the most dangerous workplace in the world, and I guess that is true enough. You've captured the busy look anyway, and the size of the ship is portrayed well too.
