Forgive me for not being here for several weeks, but I've followed this story from the start, and since they said the winner would be announced last monday, I've come here every day---several times a day---to find the announcement, and NADA! Not a word! I'm thinkin', Ok, extraterrestrials took over the whole operation, and Rod's been abducted. (You were beamed up.) Then LAST night, I came, I looked, and BOOM! It was official! Congratulations, Sir R!!! I'm very happy for you! You put your heart and soul into your work, your artistry is in every inch of your images, down to the smallest unit, you write your own wonderful stories, you illustrate them, spend tons of time perfecting them, you also do some of the most generous and broad photographic visions here, you're a terrific supporter of everyone, you're always affirming us and artists in general, and you bring your unique humor to everything you do, even if you're inundated with crises at the time. (That's not easy, and you never fail to do it.) Congratulations, I'm thrilled. And I loved the interview (didn't it have some passages from your AOM interview? I loved what you said), and I've loved your videos too. I'm sorry I haven't finished your most recent videos, but that's because of my life, not because of your videos. Also, I loved that Ricky included sections of you, and you were both humbled and thrilled. I hope to be back here soon, but I've seen everything you've posted, and this one is perfect.
