I haven't seen a red-winged blackbird in my back yard or anywhere else in over thirty years! Are they on the endangered list? Splendid work though. An excellent portrait of a creature I truly miss and long to see again.

I just saw one in South Texas today on my property.

Marvellous capture! They arrived back here Feb. 25th - I don't remember them ever returning this early in the season.

Super shot/post work. Definitely not endangered. Red-winged blackbirds are considered to be the most numerous living bird species in North America. They migrate in flocks as large as one million and there about 250 million breeding pairs in North America and Central America.
