This drawing was inspired by the brilliant "enlightened" by deviantart user darkglint. The original drawing can be found here: https://www.deviantart.com/darkglinnt/art/enlightened-831241457 and the story of how I ended up doing this is in the comments section.
Essentially, I really really liked the butterfly with the X-Ray wings, and suggested the idea of a drawing that had only those central elements and nothing else. Darkglint's response was to suggest that I draw it instead, so I did.
The composition is mine, and my hands were the ones that put all the graphite on the paper. The style and emotional content is also very different. Nonetheless, I consider this a collaborative work. If you like my drawings, look up darkglint.

Giving further credit, I used two photo references which I did not take. The butterfly can be found at:

and the skull is from:

It is totally OK to find inspiration in the work of other artists. in college I had no less than 4 art classes that the teachers made us copy the work of other artists for a variety of reasons (LOL). I like your imagery here but would like to see a little more of a finished feel to the end product. Keep up the good work.

That's an interesting comment. What about this feels unfinished to you?

Super drawing. His hair is great.

Thank you. My hair is thinning but somewhat long, and this picture was taken right when I got up in the morning. It makes for a whispy mess which - while not a particularly attractive hairstyle- is certainly fun to draw.
