Description
A test of a simulated 3D effect called [wiggle steroscopy](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wiggle_stereoscopy) using Armands Auseklis' incomparable 'Sine Warriors' planet.
This is a seven-second linear animation that could be looped - but it really should be in Animated GIF form. For some reason animated GIFs can't be posted here.

Sines of an earthquake methinks...…..

There is a great deal of displacements 'popping' in the far terrain. This is the same old QAEB thing. Ray tracing would probably eliminate that problem.

@ AK - :)) Yup - hope it's not 'the Big One'... 😉

Watching those psychedelic thingies wobbling around was the funniest disappoinment since Star Trek Picard. ;-p Love it.

umm... thanks - I guess...

"Ray tracing would probably eliminate that problem."
No, at least not at the default ray trace settings. I ran that test overnight and there were still problems with the distant peaks, although it was better. I've goosed the settings up & will try it again.

Here I was expecting the sort of marching terrains one gets w/ Shadowwatchers.
How many frames do you render for that wiggle?
jimmysparks
Five frames @30fps.
I'm trying to work out the settings for the Ray Tracer right now. When I get it I'll post the technique in the user forum.
The default distance for the RT is '50,000' meters. I measured it out and the distance value should be more like '133,000' meters.
