As a boy I wandered field and mountain, desert and ocean, forest and the icy reaches at the top and bottom of our world, and each place I found was another mystery waiting for me to discover. One day I found a silver doorway set into the side of a tall mountain. There were such detailed carvings of moons and planets and stars and all those things beyond our own small planet that I pulled the door open without hesitation, and within was the infinite apeirogon. I traveled the apeirogon on the back of a moonbeam I had rescued from the Land of Shadows. In time, I came to the Crystal Universe, and there I live to this day, writing of all I have seen.

you have a feel for people on a search; and while this young soul isn't going anywhere, physically---he/she appears to be on a quest. It's a medieval-feeling image, with the dark stone wall and the candles; and with the hood (a throwback to medieval christianity) and the old book. Your lighting is perfect for the moment; and I love your dark orange-red tones (they're rich). Very evocative, and we wonder what discoveries this young soul is embarking on. "Arcane" (you may know) comes from a root for "chest," a place where things are locked and hidden. Your tales always have those who are uncovering what is hidden. I can't help but feel this young person is one of those souls. Very sweet, intimate image. Very peace-giving too, esp in light of the present day.
