Description
from 1-1-2020 until 3-31-2020 we had 15 inches of rain. did I mention it is raining now? rain is in the forecast.
I found a leak in a bathroom drain and I changed the drain pipes today and also the cabinet bottom shelf.
it is a problem to get up off the floor, unless I have something to grab a hold of . if it is not one thing, it is another. how ever I would not trade living in my own house for an apartment

Sorry to hear about the weather issues. As you say if it is not one thing it is another, for example you could be in a drought. The picture is really good, I like macro pictures and your title caption is funny. Super job!

Great capture. Fifteen inches is a lot of rain. I don't suppose you could send some of that up my way?

Sorry to hear that its been a nice steady slow rain here in the south, and we could use a few more days of it the ground is so hard.

They look like war machines, these grasshoppers; impressive capture. If there are too many, they can transform into locusts.

glad you were able to get on with the handwork, dear Richard. Horrible bugs, I would not bear them. HUGS. DiDi. xx

I'm not sure why, but as long as I can remember, I've always loved grasshoppers... I just think they look so cool. I know they're considered "pests" but there's just something about them. Their big eyes and heads makes them look intelligent, I guess.. LOL Great shot of these 'hoppers, Richard!
Yeah, this getting older thing isn't for the faint-hearted... Even without pandemics..

Wonderful capture Richard .
Hard to believe you’re getting sopped.
We are at the end of winter. Frozen ground, snow and cold temperatures.
Do take care of yourself. Hopefully you have a alert button or something else for your safety. Staying in the comfort of your own home is a blessing. May you have many more happy years to come and go as you wish.

oh I know all about not being able to get up without holding onto something. That started happening to me about 3 years ago. (I'm 71 now, to give you an idea.) As for this image, wow those are amazing closeups of grasshoppers! We really see the detail on their wings and backs, and their eyes, even the 'burrs' on their legs. Look at those thick back legs: If I had those, I could leap like crazy too. Plus, that flower is a loud bright pink, and it's beautiful underneath those hoppers. A very impressive image.
