after 7 years i'm finally getting around in adding some info on this page. never really thought about doing it. i have been a member here since July 15th 2006, and have learned alot from fellow artists. i would have about 1300 images or so posted but have deleated many of my first pieces. and still consider myself a developing artist at this wonderful site. i'm 56 years old this year "2013" and was born in North Dakota. i have lived in Colorado since 1967 and enjoy this place alot. my stepfather was in the air force and we lived in Bermuda after North Dakota for a few years before coming here where he got stationed.. and so much enjoy many of the finest artist in the world who post here.. love you all and your amazing friendships we share.. lol Steve

p.s. not sure how high of a res pic i'm using for this page. take care and thanks a million you all.

Wow, Steve, you really made a beautiful and enticing image. I love the painter's studio, and the things you put into it. That painting---the one on the right? The background reminds me of some of my older abstracts; and, at the same time, it's like a map of the world---though I can't quite make out where (Asia?). But at the same time, it looks like you did radical postwork to one of your images---the red on the left looks like a woman floating, and I wonder if you didn't postwork (radical postwork!) one of your own. You even put the abstract forms all over the woman in the center of the painting---gotta see it full size to see the details: I love that. This is one of your image-within-image pieces, with the woman in the painting being the same as the woman painting her. And she's in two paintings on the walls too---on either side of your image. (You do this really well...it's one of your 'signatures'.) The painter is in stunning deep crimsons, and your colors are sharp as can be. Really pop-out vivid. Plus that all-white cherub is another wild contrast, and I think that's a snowman in the globe next to the cherub! The interior is doused in beautiful reds, browns and pinks. And a stark contrast in the palette table: Stark black (with cobra legs!!) You know how to design, sir, w/ colors, concepts and models. Terrific! Thank you so much! And don't worry about being 'late', we're ALL late these days. I hope and pray all will stay well with you, with your mom and with your family...and that this virus will go away soon. Take care, and thank you so much for this gift. It's marvelous, Steve.

Very cool scene. It looks like she might be a little full of herself with all the paintings she has done of herself. LOL But when they're that hot who cares.

A most lovely artist here, Steve, and a great dedication for Mark! Superb as always!
I find I'm having to really push myself to create anything lately... but once I get started, it helps to put all this other stuff in the background if only for a bit..
I have an on-line friend who is living in Germany. She has had some very extreme health issues before this COVID thing popped up. She is being treated for brain cancer. A year or so ago she was riding her bicycle when a drunk driver hit her causing severe injuries. She has been in and out of hospitals for the past couple of years, as well as having a nurse care for her at her home.
Due to an extremely unprofessional home-care nurse - who had tested positive for COVID-19 - she and her son, and another home-care nurse all contracted this virus. She has been in the ICU for several days. As of today, she has recovered enough to be taken off the lung machine she was on the past two or three days. She is weak, but has recovered enough for brief communications through another friend's Discord channel. She is a brilliant woman and a fighter.
And she has shown us all that this thing CAN be beaten.

I love the expression of the painter, it looks typical of artists, odd somewhat, like me, indeed. We see there, a glimpse of the world inside her. It tells so much, this lovely picture! Be extra careful not to get nor to carry that virus, for the sake of your mother.

I agree, this is a great dedication piece and one of best works. Colors and composite are just superb!
I don't know anyone that has contracted the virus, but the county I live in is adjacent to where most of the cases in my state have occurred. So far everyone here seems to be acting sensibly.

Absolutely beautiful! In answer to your question, I'm self-quarantined at the moment. I have some symptoms, but I'm not high risk as far as my age or immune system so was told to be on lock down for the next couple of weeks. If I spike a fever or have difficulty breathing (right now I have a bad cough and slight pain in my chest when I breathe, but no fever or difficulty breathing) I was told to get to the ER. Otherwise, stay home and away from people. Luckily, I'm able to work from home. I feel like I'm getting better, so most likely it's just a chest cold that I have, but my work and my doctor don't want to take any chances.
Stay healthy my friend!

Cool scene, she look like she has paintings to keep her busy during lock down. I like your images on the walls. I don't know anyone sick and I hope it stays that way.
