Description
for Dallas County to stay home. I had to be out this morning for food and a couple other things. the stores shelves were pretty much empty, but I hit it lucky in the produce. they had a truck bring in a load this morning. I will stay home, but I miss my walking 6 days a week. been walking for many years every morning. oh well, I need to mow the grass again

Mowing the grass should give you a little exercise. Not like your usual walk though. I used to love mowing the grass out on the farm. Had a great big area in front of the house. Wore out a push mower trying to keep up with it. My Dad took pity on me one day and bought a garden tractor with a mower attachment. Changed my life.

Much the same here, still allowed to walk the dog. I feel sorry for parents with kids, they all say kids have cabin fever.

so peaceful and calm looking, hope it stays that way given Trump's odd ideas on what to do...
renecyberdoc
we are still allowed to walk but not in groups -stay away from people and do your thing.good luck stay safe and healthy.

Unless you're sick, there doesn't seem to be any advice (or orders) not to go for walks. You're probably safer breathing the air outside than inside.

Great capture.

First of all, congratulations for the beautiful image. Where I live, we have already seen certain things, then many things have happened yet.

I echo renecyberdoc. You can go out for walks but by yourself. Walks are a good time to get lost in your thoughts anyway :-)

I was there in that photographed area two or three weeks ago. Sad part is the the kids that won some state competitions there and won a spot on to Nationals...Well Nationals has been cancelled =(

Great capture!

Great capture! Not permitted to walk outside is overkill, no pun intended! Keeping 1 meter away from others is OK. I am worrying about the imposed "remedy" that can be worse than the virus. What will come after that pandemic will be worse than it, with even more fatalities.

I would still walk at least up and down your own street back and forth for a bit.
Great city view, and hope the best Richard. Take care plz

Good morning, In France it's the same, we are confined to our homes, for jogging, it's a maximum of one hour and 500 meters from home otherwise it's 135€. For my wife and myself, we have to go through it, it's only for the supply and the purchase of the usual medicines. One thing, be careful, the professors of medicine do not agree on the quinine-based medicines that your president is shouting about ??????????????????

Missouri Governor issued 'stay at home' order here, as well as the Mayor of Independence, and most major cities in Missouri and Kansas. You can still do healthy outdoor activities like jogging or walking the dog. I just went to Office Depot earlier today, had no problems at all. The store did have a 6-foot area around the checkout counter marked with blue tape and signs saying to stay behind the line if someone was in front of you at the checkout counter. No problems at all though.
Cool shot of the "Big D" Richard.

With Rod, I think most stay-in-your-home orders let you walk if you want to walk, though I don't know about Dallas. (In Chicago, they don't mind if you walk, so long as you stay 6 feet away from other people. Though you see lots of people walking dogs---what else can you do? poor dogs need to go out---and couples are still holding hands.) This is such a fascinating shot of Dallas---it looks almost toy-like, I mean the buildings have a semi-smooth facade, they look like part of a model. Whatever you did to this (and I'm viewing full size), it has a very pleasing plastic effect. And I like all the sky you included at the top. Dallas looks like a very modern city!

Dallas is projecting an eerie calm. And I see the Golden Arches (McDonald's), which I'm sure is only doing "To-Go" like a lot of restaurants nowadays.
As I'm writing this, it's been a week since Illinois' "Stay At Home" order, and a couple of days after Mayor Lightfoot ordered the lakefront, riverfront, adjacent parks and the 606 trail off-limits because people couldn't obey a simple directive of practicing social distancing.
Stay safe, Richard.
