Description
"Never discuss religion and politics."
And for a good reason: it very often turns friends into enemies.
I don't know about you, but I'm here to have fun, not
to express any hateful views I may have.
I don't like our president.
What I do like is that he respects the right of a baby-in-making to become
a beautiful child........... to be adored and nurtured by its parents..........
not to be vacuumed from its mother's womb.
Do you REALLY believe in the New Testament?
Luke 1:41.
He is doing the best he can. You couldn't pay me enough to be president.
Sadly, there are many who want him to fail....in our economy...in our fight against the virus.
Just so he looks bad.
I wish we would all have fun without having to sound off politically,
as if we were more important than we really are.
And that goes for me.
Yes, this great country gives us Freedom of Speech.
But discussing religion and politics can very often
turn friends into enemies.

I say rant on, dont like politics myself, and our leader is just a legend in his own mind.
I'm doing what she's doing. Take care.

Your new image looks really very beautiful and well done! I thank you also for all the comments, which you have made on my last uploads. It would be great, if you could share your personal opinion too!

Totally agree. Iām here to appreciate and applaud everybodies creative art. There are endless sites to do ones political and religious rants

Politics is the art of finding mutual effort for a common cause. Religion is the profound contemplation of existence. Both are distinctly human acts that only humans engage in. If discussing either turns a friend into an enemy then either one never was a friend or the other doesn't understand friendship :-)
With great respect to your Grandfather who was obviously a compassionate man :-)

Never discuss politics - in fact over here (GB) we used to say never ask a man about his religion and his sex life - they were his concern and nobody else's.
But the old ways seem to have gone with the currency and the metrology and we don't know who we are any more. If you're old enough to remember the fifties you may understand what I am saying.

Well said, and unfortunately sometimes very true. I have to agree 100% with Rtesian.. True friends do not have to agree 100% on everything. Jo and I certainly have differing views on many things, but were we not true friends we wouldn't be approaching anniversary # 49.
My work partner at the hospital (before I retired) is (or was at the time) a big supporter of Trump. I was not, and still am not. We had many lunchtime discussions on the subject, both of us making legitimate points, and both understanding each other's reasoning. Although neither of us ever "switched sides" our friendship and support for each other remained firmly in place - and we're still friends to this day.
Being the President of a country of some 330 million or so souls would not be easy in any way shape or form - it's one of those "damned if you do, and damned if you don't" things. I certainly wouldn't want the job - for any amount of money.
Anyway... I really love how you've used the lighting from her laptop here. Well done indeed.

Great looking render and very well said, Sue !!!! But, maybe you should have also included "landlords" of over opinionated, buzzkill artists, in your opening statement about religion and politics, as well. More specifically, to the one whose illusions of grandeur immediately lead him to violate your wish about not sounding off politically. Some people just have to always be trying to draw attention to themselves (me, me, me, me, me) ! ! ! !
Sorry for the little "rant." Stay well, my friend ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !
PS . . . . . I bet your Grandfather was a great man ! ! ! ! !

Beautiful portrait and beautiful creation !!!

Sadly up here in Canukistania, we have our own share of.....
Well, same type.
I do agree though. It's nice to have a place where we can leave the worst part of these discussions behind and hopefully remember we are supposed to be the epitome of Gods creation, or the solar system, whatever one believes. Freedom of speech, and freedom of thought come with responsibilities as well. Like respect and civility. If we could all learn that, maybe this would be a nicer place.
BUT, my cat needs a cheek rub, I must go!
