Description

Back when I still thought to create a web comic, I had put together an apartment setup for my main character, Lenny. It used an older environment asset, and wasn't quite as convenient as I would have liked. However, i did several scene renders, which left me feeling a bit stuck. The "Manhattan Loft Apartment" released, and it so very clearly fit the character, and would be so much easier to navigate to boot. I bought it on day one without really thinking about it. Then realized that if I switched to it, I would have to re-render so many scenes. It was about that time I stopped using Daz entirely, completely overwhelmed. For months, I didn't even launch it. A few days ago I realized that trying to do a web comic in a way that I would be happy with was an unrealistic goal. My strong suit is story-writing. Which makes sense. I'm a novelist, after all. I hit upon the idea of doing something like a "light novel." I tested the waters by opening up a blank word document and telling the story of a single image. At 1,000 words I knew I was on the right track. I don't know if the term has been coined, but I'm going to call them "Light Novellas" and see what happens. Anyway. Writing about the characters had me wanting to make some new art. I loaded up Daz. Decided to load up the new environment. Loaded Lenny into it to see if she "fit..." Redoing about 4-5 renders is doable, and this set is delightful. So, enjoy a nice little portrait of my MC, Lenora "Lenny" Almsrich! ~~LA

Thank you. I'll be sure to keep posting progress as I go, and have links ready when I get the first story done. This is an exciting adventure in writing, that's for sure! And since I'm currently editing a book, it's giving me something fresh to work on.
