I remember ducks in the pond in the park opposite our house; and they all vanished when war broke out in '39 ... Lovely photo.

I love that you include ducks in your title, because they're just at the start of the image: They're "backed" by all this lush autumn foliage (the other half of your title), and some really imposing buildings. The one on the left is so enticing---a big cylinder. A very rich photo, where the ducks---who are quite a peaceful sight---are just the beginning...
