Description

This is the last bass guitars that came out of my workshop a couple years back. It id dubbed the "Messiah02". I only kept it and the first one that I carved, the "Messiah01" before I shut up shop. But I gave them all the attention I gave my art. They were my art you could say. This particular bass can be heard on the video I recently posted. It has a nice sound for a single pup. It a warm Jazz neck pickup if you're interested in the datails. The timber is Queensland maple with walnut details. The headstock is made from teak. She's not a hard rockin' bass by no beans. But it is perfect for those songs that I just want something simple in the background.

Beautiful instrument. I had a hard enough time playing my 1965 Fender Precision WITH frets (LOL). Fretless bass guitars are definitely "a horse of a different color". You did yourself proud in the craftsmanship shown here. NICE!!! 😁

Thanks for the comments/feedback guys. That pic btw, is the little beach about ten miles walk from the property near Cooktown, Australia (15 miles with a bass and amp on the shoulder, lol). Yeah, I do love this thing. But "...01" is a bit better though. It is one solid piece of timber (exceprt the rosewood fingerboard and electronocs back cover). Only time I put an electric tool on 01, was to drill the holes for the tuners and screw pilot holes and the initial cut to get rid of some of the timber from the slab. You'll get it, if you saw how large the slab was. I will do a bit of a video on the build one day from all the pics I have. Two months on a chisel and rasp :) Stay well guys.
