And Now It's Spring

The grass is green across the hill,
But yellow blooms the daffodil.
It's sunshine on a little stalk,
A friendly flower, I bet they talk...
Of little kids, too long inside
They burst outdoors to play and hide.
Tracking mud and bringing bugs.
Look, there's footprints on the rug!
Tiny whirlwinds, these little tykes,
They skin their knees while riding bikes.
They rip and roar, they're running wild!
What fun it is to be a child.
It grows warmer every day.
Shoo the children out to play!
Pick the flowers, play in mud.
Too much rain, here comes a flood!
My snowy, winter days are gone.
I mourn them, but I hear a song
Of birds in trees; wind chimes ring.
I guess it might as well be spring!

I didn't notice the bee in this pic... saw a bunch of honey bees whilst crawling throughout the bushes, and was well pleased. I wanted to do this angle one more time, with the blue sky as a background and some cheerful colors to enjoy... thx for viewing and for your supportive nature... be well, my friend, and take time to enjoy life.

I noticed the bee too, although at first I thought it was a distant hummingbird. Sweet surprise. More of your beautiful frontal clusters in front of distant trees. Lush, but also peaceful. This has a lot of rich pinks. And a big clean open sky to balance out the intense 'crowd' of flowers in the foreground. Sweet choice of poem---I appreciate how much you bring poetry into your pieces. The previous two painted the transitoriness of spring, this celebrates the childhood of it. (I wrote a paper on the Shelley, along with 2 others of his poems, years back. I hadn't read the Hughes, and the poem above is totally new to me.) A touching series.
