Description

It's a good thing for an artist to meet another artist who is: 1) Waaay better than them, and 20 willing to teach why they are that much better. I fnothing else, it's good for keeping the artistic ego in check, never a bad thing. Now I've been lucky enough to have met not one, but three such artists. So for quite a while, I've been wanting to pay humble tribute and offer my sincere and unreserved thanks for their help along my artistic journey. The first of these three wonderful people would be my very good friend Paul. Now I've known Paul almost half my life now, and when we first got to know each other, we were both working in traditional media, mostly inks, acrylics, pencil. And I always looked at Pauls stuff with a mixture of awe and amazement. And I'd ask how he did this or that, and he'd tell me. Which was fantastic. Sometimes I'd even understand too. Yeah, and sometimes I'd go away from an explanation still thinking the wizard did it, lol. Paul has always been a fantastic artist with an exceptionasl ability to master any medium he turns his hand to. Then after we'd known ech other for a few years, I went round one day and he had this computer there, which he fired up and said "Look at this!" and proceeded to show me a program called Poser. And well, that moment set the course of the rest of my life regards art. And indirectly, it's also why I was in the right place to get with Tracey So Paul, I cannot thank you enough for all you've done to teach and inspire me on my own artistic journey. Thank you for nurturing my artistic ambitions and enabling me to unlock the tools with which to start realising those aspirations and ambitions. I'm still working on those realisations, but I feel progress has been consistently forward since I've known you, which has been in large part because of you. Thank you my friend, most humbly and sincerely.
