I hope people zoom---you got lots of detail of both wood-grain and---I don't know how to describe it: It's like lots of gears flattened and placed on top of each other. It has a wonderfully mechanical look, little segments piled on top of each other, with rivets and various tones. Actually, you seem to use one base tone, but you lighten and darken it, and get tonal variations. I would never have guessed these were trees---you transformed them to look like a topographical map of a river cutting into land. A beautiful surprise of an image, and the vertical grain is lovely.
