Description
In the present lock down, over here in Glasgow, Scotland, my wife and I have had the luxury of appreciating each other's company in the run up to our wedding anniversary. Using Clipart from the Creative Fabrica site, and adapting words from the Songs of Songs, the Passion translation, I composed this in Serif's PagePlus X9 publishing software. After I had printed it out on textured paper, I added a wee bit of illumination to it using coloured pens, metallic glitter pens, and a rapidly drying white ink pen.
Keeping Elise de-stressed, as more of her carer friends succumb to Covid-19, while many of my former colleagues also die, especially the stronger ones, has been challenging. However, like all things in marriage, it has been highly rewarding. Wishing you all good health, and God's help in dealing with the present time's stress and health issues, added to the normal ones of everyday living.
Whether you are in a crowded city, a remote farming village, a decaying housing project, dense rain forest, still with frost outside, dry desert, or suffer from lack of shelter, clean running water, food and, that most rare of things, the love of a good person, I pray God drenches you with His boundless grace, His ample strength and softly cradles you in the palm of His hand, while He bolsters your heart with Joy and Hope.
My own mind keeps reminding of a place of peace which I experienced as a child in a time of poverty, a place which I managed to share with my first wife, after of nearly 40 years marriage, but only a short time before she died suddenly from her lung problems. We all have a place, even if we have forgotten it. We are all called to be loved by Our Saviour. May you find His Peace and His Love. Good night to you all.

My wife is a student nurse, Adrie, and has now been asked, along with her much younger fellow students, to help our full time nurses. National Health Service Scotland, has a huge task ahead of it. Her work will be in those wards caring for Vivid-19 patients. Her experience is in caring for the elderly, and helping in plastic surgery theatre. English is not her first, or her second language, but she is a hard working carer. I expect her to do her best, and for God to continue to accompany her in her work.
I pray you both keep safe, my friend. God bless and keep you in His protection.
