Hello everyone, I hope you're all safe in these strange days, been playing with the new graphic card (took an EVGA 2070 Super XC, for those who know, very quiet and don't go above 56° in render, I'm very happy with that heh), and here is the first gallery picture made with it :) . Introducing a new cutie in the same time, please say hello to Malorie :D , the cutie in focus, watching the camera. A couple of other were remade again btw, you can see Appoline just on her left, with brand new textures - again lol :D .
That kind of picture would not have been possible with the previous GPU, so i'm very happy :) , but still, here to add the 10th cutie, I had to delete some bump maps on far characters, or that wouldn't render on GPU for some reasons (although it was ways under the 8 Gb vram limit Oo, which is weird. It was using 5,8 Gb exactly, so i'm not sure why adding just one char made it fallback to cpu on first tries).
Anyway, it worked in the end :) , don't hesitate to zoom, it's a 4000px one :)

Wow! Nice to see you and your troublemakers again! Awesome scene! Actually I should have s new Graphics card too (mine makes horrible noise beca use the Vent axle has too much play in meantime so it doesn’t run smooth and quiet anymore and talking about GPU renders: since DS 4.11 they are gone altogether (DS uses OpenCL 1.2 and mine supports 1.1 only) so talking about Renders or dForce it‘s now all on the Joblist of the CPU with its tiny 8GB RAM (Boy I remember days, where 4MB (not GB) of RAM was a heck of a lot of memory)

I think there's also a total number of objects as well as poly limit in daz scenes, besides the ram. One useful utility is a script called scene optimizer. you can half (or more) texture map size and poly's to make a much lighter scene. I use it a lot. Those 4k and bigger textures really chew up resources and for the most part are not needed.
Also, don't forget, the number one thing you need for a successful pool party is a pool. Never forget that or you will be chagrined.
