L'avevano scampata per il rotto della cuffia!!!
Ora solo un'onda lunga e rabbiosa flagellava la costa imbiacando di spuma grigiastra il piccolo molo,dove un'esile figura di donna ,con le gote rigate da lacrime di gioia per lo scampato pericolo , attendeva trepidante il rientro della piccola imbarcazione con a bordo il vecchio padre ed il suo giovane ed unico figlio!!
It was a real miracle to have escaped!!
Now only a long and rabid wave blazed the coast, whitewashing with grayish foam the small pier, where a slim figure of woman with cheeks striped by tears of joy ,for the escaped danger, awaited ,anxiously , the return of the small boat with on board the old father and his young and only son!!

Your image has beautiful hues---the sky is gorgeous. And you have a wonderful angle too---a very dramatic angle, from the woman on the pier to the ship in the background. Mi auguro con tutto il cuore che non sia vero!! Thanks Aurelius, my family and I are currently well, unfortunately a few minutes ago I received news of a dear friend (health worker at the Italian Red Cross) who may have been infected. I hope with all my heart that it is not true!!
