Since 7 March I am living sitting on a sofa in a 9 m2 room in a 50 m2 apartment it is no longer possible, even if I was in prison. There is something wrong, and it is true not only for me, you have to ask yourself a question? Does it make sense to die of fear of dying? The image well represents the mood in this situation.

Yes, that's how it looks like my friend, but we have no other choice, just waiting and maybe have a cup of tea or a small gin lemon at Home. Unfortunately, there are still so many smart asses who think they can get away with anything and put other people in danger with their bullshit, but that is also punished in my country with a hefty fine!

It would be far worse if we didn't have the internet and couldn't talk to each other as we do here. Keep cheerful and stay safe!

I would add that we have the chance to be creative so that we can express all these thoughts and be able to read them as pictures from a distance.
UteBigSmile
Right dear Marco, what could we do else without this fantastic hobby, I could not read books during the whole day or looking for hours the boring broadcasts in the Television!

Yes, we are all locked up and save ourselves through creative work, from morning to night ... Amazing work! I like it a lot!

I agree also with you Ute, we have indeed our Internet, and we can make some cute and lovely and also some dark artworks, but we do some thing what we like to do. And some times we can make others happy with our images. And I love your last image dear Ute, it tells a lot how we think and how we live in this mad world. Take car and stay safe dear Ute.

I get out 4 times a week working bread at my stores, so doing ok on no covid so far and still is somewhat boring back at the house. glad we have rendo and internet.
UteBigSmile
...then you can consider yourself lucky, because even before the crisis, 5.8 million people in the USA were unemployed. With the indicator lagging behind in real terms for just over a week, millions more are likely to be reported by the authorities. Thus, figures of 30 million unemployed suddenly become realistic. I feel very sorry for all these people who have to live from hand to mouth day after day, Donald did a great job, and his new disinfection-madness is just more than astonishing.

Another fine bit of color, composition, light and shadow, and subject matter reflecting on our present, super bad, world wide covid-19 problem. I don't mind quarantine or isolating myself at all, except when it comes to shopping or maybe even visiting the doctor for a checkup. I went through staying home many years ago when I was too ill to go anywhere or do anything. It took months for me to recover.
UteBigSmile
Oh' Harry, take more care and stay more vigilant! Send you my best wishes!

Very beautiful!

A lovely image, Ute - well done, hon! I think we're all really thankful for having this forum to share our creativity and communicate no matter how far away we are from each other (talk about 'social distancing' LOL). If not for that, I know lots of us would go stark-raving mad.... Me included!
Jo and I actually got out and did some yard work today. It was a beautiful day, and it felt soooooo good to just be outside for a while.

I agree with you, this forced closure begins to be unnerving 😔.Excellent work my friend.👍🙋♂️

I completely agree with you. Speaking as a scientist myself, one of the things that's most irritating is the way politicians at all levels claim to be acting on the basis of "science" when so much of what they are ordering is not based on any scientific findings. Some of what we're being told is the opposite of good science. For example, staying inside all the time is not healthy. It would be far safer and healthier for everybody to stay outside as much as is practical. Keep your distance from other people, but do it outdoors.
UteBigSmile
Your right, my husband and I are among the lucky ones who have a big terrace with some lawn for our two little dogs, so that we can spend some hours outside when the weather is good, I really pity all the people who have to live in a tiny flat (maybe with a small balcony)!

You got fascinating responses, above, with lots of insights. Everyone I know who has grandchildren says it's sooooooo hard to not see their grandchildren: Because very young children are only young for a short time; and the grandparents feel "time is slipping away". I know it must be hard for you to not see your beloved family.
The woman in this image is very elegant, and she shows composure and acceptance (good for her!). But the mirror seems to be her dream---of that pub, and the day when people will fill it again. It's a very effective dream image; and beautifully done. Also wonderful greens in her gown (and wonderful light)---and you have greens in the background too. And you have a grid-like texture across the whole piece: It makes your image very graphic...and also a little like newspaper photographs (with halftone throughout). When you use graphic effects, you're always very creative. A touching image of quiet dreaming and yearning, in the time of sickness...
