Description
What you are looking at, is actually the most powerful tool when it comes to learning and using Blender the standard keyboard. It will help you model, navigate, and perform numerous other tasks within Blender. It will take some time to master it fully but in today’s tip we are only focusing 5 keys and they are all in the Number Pad. The keys on the
Number Pad that we are going to discuss is the Ctrl,1,3,5, and 7 key and explore their simple yet practicing using these keys individually and in combination will start you on your way to mastering the keyboard.
Two Terms to know concerning the use of the above keys
1. Perspective view projection is a linear projection where three-dimensional objects are projected on a picture plane.
2. Orthographic is a two-dimensional drawing of a three-dimensional object
The Keys and their functions
1. The “5” key, when typed, will change your 3D view between Perspective & Orthographic views
2. The “1” key, when typed, will put you in Front View and when combined with “Ctrl” + “1” will put you in back view
3. The “3” key, when typed, will put you in Right View and when combined with “Ctrl” + “3” will put you in Left View
4. The “7” key, when typed, will put you in Top View and when combined with “Ctrl” + “7” will put you in Bottom View
And that’s Rendy’s Blender Tip
