Description

Cross Lighting and Scrims This one is cross lit from camera left. To keep the light from reflecting in the mirrors, I created 2 scrims that are about 20% larger than my XLight. One is in the back and one in the front. (Think of a 3 sided trough with the light being the bottom of the trough.) This hides the light from reflecting in the back and front mirrors. It also focuses the light to my subject and not all over the scene. Another way to think of it is to think of a strip light with two barn doors. The doors are open at 90-degrees. Thus, a cross section would look like |_|
